Technology Executive and Entrepreneur Craig Collins Named President & CEO of Perminova, Inc.
La Jolla, CA (PRWEB) November 28, 2011
Perminova, developer of web-based software for the nation’s leading cardiology centers, announced that Craig K. Collins is the new President and CEO.
Collins has extensive experience in healthcare technology, strategic planning, operations, finance and sales and marketing. He has served as a senior executive for Fortune 100 firms and high-growth technology start-ups. Collins has raised over $ 47 million in venture capital and was part of a management team that executed a highly successful IPO.
“The Perminova board is very pleased with the remarkable progress Collins has executed with Perminova,” said Rory Moore, the company’s Chairman. “He was recruited to lead Perminova through a difficult stage of growth amid an uncertain economic climate. However, he was able to assemble a blue-chip management team, build an impressive sales pipeline and secure Series A funding. As a result, Perminova is now on solid footing and under talented stewardship. Thanks to the efforts of Craig and his team, Perminova has a bright future as one of the most promising start-ups in San Diego.”
Dr. Greg Feld, agreed with Moore’s assessment. A Perminova Founder and Board Member, as well as a UC San Diego Health System cardiologist, Feld stated, “Craig has worked tirelessly since arriving at Perminova to deliver the vision our initial team created. He has managed to turn that vision into reality. I look forward to working with Craig and his staff as we pioneer new frontiers in cloud computing and cardiovascular information systems.”
Prior to joining Perminova, Collins served as President and CEO, Board Member and Founder of PetriTech, Inc., an advanced materials technology company. Previously, he was Vice President of Marketing for a division of the $ 43 billion Cardinal Health, where he served as a key member of the division’s executive team, overseeing strategic alliances, business development, promotions and marketing communications.
Collins founded and helped launch SupplyPro, Inc., a venture-backed supply chain technology company that was a spin-off of Cardinal Health’s Pyxis Division. Collins served as Director of Marketing and Investor Relations for DAOU Systems, a computer systems integrator for the healthcare industry. While at DAOU Systems, Collins served on a management team that executed the 6th-highest-performing IPO of 1997. Collins is a longtime resident of San Diego and active in a number of business, community and charitable organizations. He holds an MBA and a BA in English from San Diego State University.

Great post! I?m just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case
